My Mini Recieved

All the anticipation and excitement of the swapping of dolls quilts has built, and now it is time to share.

It has arrived!

This mini quilt is made for Milly who blogs over at Tin Whistle.  An incredibly talented sewer and quilter who I have enjoyed following for a while.

I stalked her Pinterest and was guided by some likes and dislikes posted for secret swap partners.

I used some pretty fabrics from my stash and had a great time designing the block, choosing the backing, quilting and binding.

I micro stippled in the inner grey star, and used a slightly larger stipple to the outside.

It is the first time I have sewn a hanging sleeve.  I failed to get a picture of this though, so you will just have to believe me.

I made the mistake of making it after finishing binding.  I won’t do that again, lesson learnt, especially on a dolls quilt.

I had a great time and will be joining in again next year.

Now to wait upon the postman for my little quilt to arrive!!

  1. That is LOVELY! I really like the colours, and am impressed with the complexity of you little quilt. the use of the negative space interspersed with those bright squares is something i might have to use in something i make.

    Love it

    Great job!
